ACTIVITY IDEA

This resource explores Olympic and Paralympic mascots, their design and purpose and challenges pupils to design a mascot for ParalympicsGB. The primary and secondary home learning presentations explore the following questions to guide families through the challenge, and will take around an hour to complete.

  • What is a mascot?
  • What do you know about the Olympic and Paralympic Games mascots?
  • What does a mascot do?
  • What makes a good mascot?
  • What does ParalympicsGB represent?
  • Can you design a mascot for ParalympicsGB?

For those with less time, or who want to dive straight in to designing, a 'Quick Tips' presentation is also available as a brief step-by-step guide to designing your mascot.
