Snowsport England’s National Schools Snowsport Week: Monday 24th – Sunday 30th April 2017

Sign up for your school’s skiing or snowboarding session.

With the next Winter Olympics less than a year away, the second ever National Schools Snowsport Week aims to give pupils at primary and secondary schools, as well as sixth form colleges, the chance to try skiing or snowboarding for free or at heavily discounted prices. This is your opportunity to get your school involved in skiing or snowboarding at your local club – let’s Get Set for PyeongChang!

Search for your closest participating club to get your school out on the slopes!

We understand that for some school children, it will be their first time on skis or a snowboard. For others, it could be an opportunity to try racing, freestyle or another snow activity such as tobogganing. For all we hope that it will be an enriching experience, which combines physical strength with fine skills of balance and agility.

Snowsport England

We hope that National Schools Snowsport week will be just the beginning of many young athlete’s journeys and school’s relationships with their local facilities and clubs, but most importantly we hope the sessions will develop your pupil’s skills and abilities in a fun and engaging environment!

National Schools Snowsport Week is backed by Winter Olympians Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, Dave Ryding, Aimee Fuller and Graham Bell and was piloted in 2016, seeing a total of 21 Slopes across England, 149 schools and 1066 school children participate in the initiative.
