The free Team GB Family Activity Trails in Hull and Withernsea offer an introduction to exercise by being active in a way that feels fun – whether that’s through fitness challenges, nature activities or scavenger hunts. This is a great opportunity to get students active in a unique and fun way.

There are signposts to find along the trail which include written exercise challenges and QR codes which unlock extra Team GB challenges. Participating schools are in with the chance of winning Team GB prizes!

How schools can get involved and win prizes:

  • Organise a group of students to take part in the trails 3 times over a 6-week period (e.g. as part of PE lessons or after-school activity) as part of an intervention study. All participants will receive a Team GB backpack bundle.
  • Facilitate a one-off class visit to the trails, meeting a researcher at the trail site to collect maps and take part in a survey. All participants will receive a Tokyo 2020 Olympic badge and will be entered into a prize draw to win Team GB backpacks.
  • Spread the word to your school community – let local families know about the free opportunity to try out the trails together in their own time. You’ll be provided with text and images to send to families about the trails. This will include details of the study above and opportunities to win prizes by taking part.
