Ten lucky children from Broad Heath, Finham, Howes, Park Hill and Stivichall primary schools have just returned from the trip of a lifetime to Japan. They went to learn more about the Tokyo 2020 Games and also to find out about Japanese culture. They were fortunate enough to visit a parabadminton test event at the Yoyogi Stadium and, even better, they watched Team GB win the quarter finals! They also played softball with the national team and had a behind the scenes tour of the Yokohama Stadium. They worked in primary schools on two art projects linked to Olympic and Paralympic values. This fabulous art work will be displayed at our Japan Arts Festival just before the start of the 2020 Games. They are going to visit a number of Coventry schools next week to share their amazing Olympic/Paralympic experience.
