What is Spirit of Sport at Home?

Spirit of Sport at Home provides children the opportunity to learn through play – working together with family or friends to explore determination, fair play and other values for sport and life through fun, easy-to-run physical activities and games. Giving practical contexts to ideas that can seem abstract or hard to teach, the activity guides can be used as a stand-alone set and/or to build on the Spirit of Sport classroom activities if your children are exploring the programme at school school. There are six activities, developed with experts from UK Anti-Doping, each including an active game and reflection questions based on a Spirit of Sport value:

  • Courage and determination
  • Friendship
  • Fair play
  • Respect
  • Equality
  • Inspiration

Track your progress through the activities using the Spirit of Sport Star Chart, repeat the activities and reflection to see how your children's learning builds, and don't forgot to send us your feedback on the activities to enter our termly prize draw
